Hillary Clinton Campaign Gets a Boost With Pennsylvania Win--But Is It Enough |

There's no doubt that the Hillary Clinton campaign was on the ropes before yesterday (4-22), but now that she has won the big Pennsylvania primary, is it enough to give her presidential bid the momentum it needs to keep going? Pundit had said that Hillary Rodham Clinton needed a big win, in the double digits, to keep going. Well, she did win in Pennsylvania, by substantial margins, but will a ten-point win be enough to propel the ambitious senator into the White House? This win proves that she can appeal to more than just feminist voters, however, she has been decisively beaten by Obama time after time, so does Hillary Rodham Clinton have the appeal to win a national election against the tough and seasoned John McCain. In a national contest, are Clinton's negative poll numbers so great that the elderly Republican will garner more votes than she will? I guess the question in many Democrats' minds is this: will voting for Hillary Rodham Clinton hand the presidency to another Republican? Can the country afford four more years of incompetant diplomacy and disastrous economic policies? |
