hillary rodham clinton, hillary clinton for president

Two years ago it seemed like Hillary Rodham Clinton would be a shoo-in when she was in the throes of the Hillary Clinton for president campaign. However, now that the Clinton vs Obama battle for the Democratic nomination is over and she has lost, it's obvious that she committed some major blunders along the way. But it wasn't her fault alone; she had help from her spouse, former president Bill Clinton. Bill Clinton, it seems, has lost his formerly faultless instinct for working a crowd and wound up alienating people with his arrogance and bad temper. The man who should have been a major asset in the Hillary Clinton for president campaign wound up speaking to small crowds and being mocked by the press for his temper tantrums. Hillary Rodham Clinton, too, was plagued by her own arrogance in the form of her assumption that the Democratic nomination was her right, that it was somehow "her turn" to be president. I was turned off by that attitude, and so, it seems, were a majority of American Democrats. Now the we are in the home stretch of the presidential campaign process, let's hope Hillary Rodham Clinton behaves with some class and dignity and helps, rather than hinders, Barack Obama.
