Hillary Rodham Clinton endorsed Barack Obama in her concession speech, but it seems that many of her supporters are reluctant to do the same thing. According to an interesting article I read at the salon.com website, people who supported the Hillary Clinton campaign are still very angry that she didn’t win the democratic nomination.
Apparently those who supported the Hillary Clinton campaign were mostly women over the age of thirty. They are now calling themselves PUMA ( Party Unity My A**), and they are still furious that Obama beat Hillary. These people are angry because Hillary Rodham Clinton lost a very close race. They are disgruntled because the historic opportunity to have the first female president is now lost. They are peeved because Barack Obama might not choose Hillary Rodham Clinton as his running mate. They are also irritated that the media only began to discuss sexism after Hillary had lost the race.
Some supporters of the Hillary Clinton campaign are so angry that they are even threatening to vote for McCain, which I think is rather sad and pathetic. Hillary Rodham Clinton herself asked her supporters to transfer their support to Barack Obama. Weren’t her supporters listening to her concession speech?
